In this Practice Lucia Scalisi is the sole Conservator and all Conservation work is carried out by Lucia Scalisi.
It is recommended that clients seek the advice of formally trained Conservators who have attained a recognised Conservation training qualification.
Begin by asking the formal qualifications attained and who will carry out the work within a Conservation Studio. Many studios practice under the title of a ‘Lead Conservator’ but the work may be carried out by interns or assistants who may not be formally trained, qualified or accredited.
Please be aware that there is a difference between a Conservator and a Restorer, usually indicating a formal Conservation training – or not.
